Main Data Group, in its annual partnership with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), recently examined gender diversity trends playing out on public company boards. 

Industry publication HR Dive quotes from the 2022 Inside the Public Company Boardroom report, “Women represented 41% of the new director appointments to Russell 3000 Index companies in 2022 and only 17% of those leaving.” 

The gradual increase in board independence and the shifting skills of public company directors is also noted.
